You can qualify if you are:

  • a meeting planner from an agency or from an association
  • a corporate buyer responsible for planning, organizing, recommending or making financial decisions for events (like e.g. international meetings, incentive travels, conferences, product launches or staff trainings) outside your home country
  • a decision-maker or decision-making employee in the field of business travelling, business and other events conferences, congresses, incentive trips, family days, corporate events, business meeting, professional forums, professional and team building trainings.

If you are interested in becoming a hosted buyer at MICE BD 2024, please complete and submit the application form by 15 July.

Completion of the online application form does not automatically guarantee you a place on the hosted buyer programme. After reviewing all professional profiles, organisers will notify applicants about their participation status by the end of August 2024.

As a hosted buyer you can enjoy the following complimentary services:

  • Travel arrangements and costs coverage, transfers to the hotel
  • 2/3 nights accommodation in 4-5 star hotel in Budapest
  • Entry to MICE Business Day event and related social events
  • Pre-scheduled appointments (min. 8) with exhibitors of your choice
  • Participation on the fam trip with venue inspections and other activities in Budapest
  • Refreshments and lunch during the MICE Business Day and the Fam trip 
  • + Facultative participation option on the countryside pre and post tours 

Planned Agenda

20/Oct Arrival to Budapest -Transfer to the dedicated hotels, Welcome dinner
+ Optional half day Pre Tour at Budapest and surroundings* visit of the picturesque art-filled town Szentendre and Unique Hungarian Folk Experience at Skanzen Museum
21/Oct MICE BD FAM trip at Budapest including interesting site visits at hotels and fascinating off-site venues with surprise pop-up elements & Welcome dinner at the evening
22/Oct MICE BUSINESS DAY at Hungexpo Congress Center: conference programs, B2B Workshop, participation at Pre-Scheduled Appointments
Travel home for those who do not stay on the post tour
23/Oct Optional 1 day Post Tour - Discover Lake Balaton* Visit of Balatonfüred Congress Center and hotels nearby, discover the jewel of Balaton, Tihany peninsula, Visit the Lavender House Visitor Center

*The pre and post tours are organised by our local DMC partners who have offered to provide the opportunity free of charge for the participants. Only  in case of the post tour, the accommodation extension for Oct 23 night should be covered individually (110Eur/person/night)

Terms and Conditions of Hosted buyer participation

Those, who are interested in participation as a hosted buyer at MICE Business Day 2024 must complete and submit the application form by 15 July 2024. All required sections of the application form must be fully completed.

To be accepted as Hosted buyer, applicant should meet strict qualifying criteria. Completion of the online application form does not automatically guarantee you a place on the hosted buyer programme. 

After reviewing the application forms, organisers will notify applicants about their participation status. In case of positive confirmation, the hosted buyer registration should be confirmed by 15 August 2024 by filling in the confirmation form.

The Hosted buyer participation covers travel arrangements, transfer, 2 or 3 nights accomodation in 4-5* hostels, entry to MICE Business Day& related social events, 1 day study fam trip in Budapest, refreshments and lunch during the programmes, personal itinerary of appointments, networking opportunities.

As a condition of receiving the business services, Hosted Buyers will be required to attend minimum 8 Pre-Scheduled Appointments (PSA) of attendance at the MICE Business Day.

All other costs and incidental expenses are the responsibility of each attendee, such as extension of stay, flight upgrades, travel insurance, etc.
